Career

Growing up in poverty, Mark Henry just wanted to be someone special. In the small town of Silsbee, Texas, Mark would gain national headlines in high school as The World’s Strongest Teenager. Once the victim of bullying and a few stints in juvenile detention, Mark’s prowess for powerlifting helped turn his life around and made him an Olympic athlete, competing at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics.  

He won gold medals at the 1993-94 US Olympic Festival and another three weightlifting medals, including gold, at the 1995 Pan American Games.  
Other weightlifting accolades include winning the International Junior Powerlifting title in 1991, the USAPL National Powerlifting title in 1995 and 1997, and the WDFPF Powerlifting Championship in 1995. After refusing to cheat in a sport riddled with performance enhancers, Mark turned to his childhood passion: Sports Entertainment.  

Navigating the backstage politics and in-ring challenges, Mark Henry would establish himself as WWE’s “World’s Strongest Man” in AND out of the ring, emerging victoriously at the 2002 Arnold [Schwarzenegger's] Strongman Classic. 
With a well deserved induction into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame after a 23-year career, Mark took his love, knowledge and psychology for wrestling to radio and is a co-host on Sirius XM's BUSTED OPEN. 

In 2024, Mark received a Lifetime Humanitarian Award from the USA Weightlifting Foundation and sits on the board as an athlete representative.  Mark remains instrumental, mentoring athletes and helping to raise funds, supporting greater access and education for the sport. 

A proud Texas native and loyal state sports fan, Mark has added sports radio to his repertoire, hosting 5 days a week in studio and game days from DKR -Texas Longhorn Stadium for iHeart Media's  "The Morning Kickoff with Mike "Hardball" Hardge" on 1300AM The Zone.

Already securing a network deal with Tempo and some of the best talent in the industry, Mark and the All Caribbean all star roster are already on the fast track to global success and have solidified there brand as a leader in Sports Entertainment.  

Mark’s focus is on improving the lives of his family, friends, and fans around the world as he gives back to the communities and people that helped him; implementing health and wellness initiatives for children and their families.
With the right guidance, education, confidence and training, Mark is determined to help shape today's youth to be tomorrow's stars. 

With everything Mark is working on, he proudly touts his greatest accomplishments and most enjoyable endeavors as being a loving and present husband to his wife, Jana and father to his children, Jacob and Joanna.
